"Thanks to good planning, the Disney parks are an oasis of order in a chaotic world. The trains run on time, and litter doesn't linger on the ground very long. The old buildings are newly painted, and even the vegetation is spruced up regularly for aesthetic effect. This environmental control helps with social control, as the built environment of the park affects the social order, with most people on their best behavior. Submitting to the order of the park, we become orderly without actually being ordered." (166)
